Jeff Collins started "developing green" in 2006, with development oversight of the first renovation project in the State of Florida to attain Silver LEED Certification. With more than two decades of hands-on experience as a Real Estate Developer and Project Manager throughout the southeast USA, Jeff's track record of integrating LEED requirements into development or renovation projects makes him one of the most sought-after consultants for green projects of all types and sizes on the eastern seaboard.
Along with two partners, Jeff formed Logical Green Institute in 2008, an on-line, on-demand e-learning provider focused on educating individuals and companies in the green-building, sustainability and LEED fields. In its first year, the company helped more than 2000 students with exam preparation and continuing education -- and that was while developing its specialized on-line products. Logical Green Institute is unique and amongst LEED-education companies in that it capitalizes on the experience and strengths of all three partners. Jeff's Real Estate Development and Project Management experiences, as well as his understanding of "green" development, round out a strong team of LEED professionals.
Jeff formed Collins Development Company (CDC) which develops Real Estate on behalf of third-party clients as well as Jeff's partnerships, in 1991. Prior to CDC, Jeff was a Project Manager with Stiles Development Company, responsible for oversight of all facets of projects under his charge. This training ground proved invaluable and helped form Jeff's "full service, concept to completion" approach.
Jeff is currently a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, both National and the South Florida Chapter. He is active in the business community and involved in several nonprofit organizations. Jeff graduated form Florida State University in December 1986 with degrees in Real Estate and Finance.
